A dangerous corner against Pembury

A great performance away against Pembury Athletic. We only had eleven players available, but it was a good eleven.
The first half was probably the most exciting half we've played all season as we took the game to Pembury and the forwards were linking superbly. The Pembury goalkeeper made two unbelievable saves: first a great shot from Michael Ide, then a superb snap shot from Jamie Wickham.
Pembury got stronger in the second half and scored two goals on the break, but we continued to present a threat. The Pembury keeper made another superb save to keep out a Jamie Wickham header from another dangerous Chris Nissen corner. He continued to keep us from scoring and recorded his fourth successive clean sheet.
We can take a lot of encouragement from the performance. We seem to get better every week. The defence has always looked strong and Jamie Hards has become more confident. The midfield is stronger now Greg Byrne has Chris Nissen battling in there with him and Jamie Wickham and Michael Ide are developing a great understanding up front. Martin Hill was voted man-of-the-match.
